What is Cando?
Cando is a daily 10,000-steps game where you invest a small amount of money to participate. If you reach 10,000 steps on the same day, you become a winner and earn a share of the prize pool.
How does the game work?
Each game lasts 24 hours and starts at UTC +00:00.
You join the game by investing at least $1, complete 10,000 steps on the same day, and then share the prize pool with the other winners.
What is the goal of the game?
The goal is always the same: Reach 10,000 steps in a single day.
How do I join a game?
- Open the Cando app
- Tap “Join game”
- Choose the amount you want to invest (minimum $1)
- Confirm your participation and then your joining the game for the next day.
How is the prize pool created?
All investments from the players go into a shared prize pool for the the specific game.
How are winnings distributed?
When the game ends, the prize pool is split between all players who reached 10,000 steps. The winnings are distributed within 24 hours after the game ends.
Does Cando take a fee?
Yes—Cando takes a 15% cut of the prize profit to cover operational costs.
However, if 100% of participants complete the 10,000 steps, Cando takes no cut, and everyone gets their full investment back – and are 10.000 steps richer.
What counts as “profit”?
Profit is the amount a winner earns beyond their own investment.
Cando’s 15% fee is taken only from this profit — never from your original investment.
Why do I need to open the Cando app during the day?
To ensure your step data is properly synced and accessible.
If the app isn’t opened, your steps may not update automatically.
Do I need a specific device to track steps?
.Cando uses your device’s built-in step counter (e.g., Apple Health).
No additional hardware is required.
Is Apple involved in the game?
No. Apple is not affiliated with or involved in Cando in any way.
What happens if I don’t reach 10,000 steps?
You do not receive a share of the prize pool, and your investment goes to the winners.
Is there a limit to how much I can invest?
No — you can invest as much as you want.
